How Coyz Auto Repairz came up with their name is in memory of Lupe's deceased dog, Coy. Coy was shot and killed by an off duty police officer that was walking his dog and this was while Coy was playing in his own yard. He wanted to play with the officer's dog and the officer stated that Coy was charging his dog to attack and that was not the case. Coy was a playful dog and loved to roll around playing with other animals. Poppy and Coy were the best of friends -- Poppy is the white dog in the pictures. Coy was friendly and loved by everyone and every animal, especially babies. He would lay next to a baby and if the baby was crying he would get someone's attention to help the baby.
Lupe got a rough start in life at a very early age and began getting in trouble with the law. He did not try to better himself until the age of 32. This was after Lupe spent years on and off in prison. In 2008, he was released from prison after many years served. He took up mechanics, something he had a passion for as a young boy and was really good at. As a man, he was even better at fixing vehicles. Lupe had many trades in life but there was no other like working on a vehicle.
In 2017, he and I met at a Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep store. We both fell in love with each other instantly. It was and still is pure fun, romantic, and always an adventure together. I was a service writer and he was their engine tech and later on became their diesel tech as well. He and I are now the proud owners of Coyz Auto Repairz. This shows that anyone can turn their life around for the better and the words "I can't" or "it's impossible" do not exist. He and I both want to get with another program for children and get troubled kids or teens that are willing to try and start fresh when no one else would give them a chance. We want to bring them into the shop and help veer them back on the right road and stay out of trouble. The plan is to eventually get the battered women program going as soon as we can.
